U23 Vietnam prepare for SEA Games

U23 Vietnam (red uniforms) plans for its first gold medal at SEA Games 26.

The team will gather at Ho Chi Minh City's Thanh Long Sports Centre on September 22 to prepare for the Ho Chi Minh City Cup that will be held at Thong Nhat stadium from September 28 to October 2.

In this tournament, the Vietnam U23 team will face U23 Singapore, the Syrian Olympic team, and the Republic of Korea's Student team.

Later, the team will attend the VFF Son Ha Cup in Hanoi from October 19-23, playing against U23 teams from Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

The event, which will take place at My Dinh national stadium, is considered a pre-SEA Games tournament because all the participants will be competing for the championship in Indonesia.

Both tournaments will be good practice for U23 Vietnam and will help them work out a suitable game plan before heading to the SEA Games in November.

Vietnam’s coach Falko Goetz will announce the squad’s shortlist of 30 players next week.
