Two military hospitals succeed in tumour removal

PANO - Patient Dang Ngoc Han was recovering after a difficult surgery to remove a 25kg tumor, performed by doctors from Hospital 103 under the Military Medical Academy and Military Hospital 13 under Military Zone 5.

The surgery, directed by Major-General, Associate Professor cum Doctor Hoang Manh An, Hospital 103’s Director, took over one and a half hour on January 9 th .

The 20-year-old patient, a native in An Son Village, Binh Dinh Province needed some 8 blood units donated by officers and soldiers from Air Force Regiment 940, students from University of Quy Nhon and members of Blood Donation Team 25.

According to Major-General Hoang Manh An, having been monitored carefully, patient Han would be treated for free-of-charge at the Military Hospital 103.

Together with the free surgery and care, the Military Hospital 103 presented patient Han with VND 40 million. Some other beneficiaries also supported this patient with cash.
