The newspaper’s relief group Tuesday sent 400 aid packages to poor families in Ha Tinh’s My Thuy and Quang Minh communes.
Ha Van Lien, the president of My Thuy Communal Fartherland Front Committee, said: “All families here are out of food. They are so happy when receiving aid from Tuoi Tre.”
Besides, Tuoi Tre also delivered rice to victims who could not go out due to their sickness at their home.
The other Tuoi Tre relief group came to Quang Minh commune on the same day.
This commune has been serious affected by two floods and isolated for past days. Most people in Minh Ha hamlet could not come to the commune’s headquarters to receive relief, so the group carried rice on boat to hand out to them.
Meanwhile in Ha Tinh, flooding roads have prevented the relief group from delivering essential appliances to people in Huong Khe, and the group set to hire boats to carry gifts to these victims Wednesday.
