Visitors can learn about the process of making traditional Vietnamese conical hats from Chuong village, Thanh Oai district at Kim Ngan Temple (42 Hang Bac Street) and fans from Chang Son village, also in Thanh Oai district, at Dong Lac temple (38 Hang Dao). Traditional musical instruments from Dao Xa village, Ung Hoa district will be demonstrated at the ancient house at 87 Ma May and Doi Tam drums from Ha Nam province can be seen and heard at the Old Quarter Information Centre at 28 Hang Buom Street.
The event, held by the Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board, aims to honour treasured traditional Vietnamese crafts and raise people’s awareness of preserving and promoting their cultural heritage.
The programme will continue until July 31.
