Nguyen Tien Minh, Vietnam’s top badminton player, made a good start at the US Open Grand Prix Gold by winning the first match, with a 2-0 score, over Jan Frohlich from the Philippines on July 12th.
In the second round of the tournament, held from July 11th to 16th, Tien Minh will play Agusriadi Wijaya, a Malaysian player.
However, another Vietnamese player, Nguyen Hoang Nam, was unfortunately beaten by Dieter Domke, a German player, at the first round.
