More than 50,000 pupils from 200 schools in Hanoi have benefited from the World School Milk Day program over the past three years in the City.
The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) first launched the program, in September 2000, and later in Hanoi, in 2008
According to the Hanoi’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, many activities under the program have been launched to provide free milk for children in Hanoi since 2008.
This year alone, 12,751 children, from 28 junior schools in Hanoi, will be provided with free milk over the next 10 days.
On June 1st, International Children’s Day, the World School Milk Day program 2011 will be held at the Hanoi Children’s Palace.
