The festival to honour Power of Sports to be held

PANO - Hundreds of teachers and students from more than 35 secondary schools in HCMC, Da Nang City and several other cities will join a festival to honour Power of Sports, organised by the British Council, in association with Departments of Education and Training in HCMC on February 25th, and Da Nang on March 10th.

This is part of activities in the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms project for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The festival will start off with the Big Dance program, held in Vietnam for the first time. This program has attracted more than two million participants from all over the world since its launching day in 2006.

To prepare for Big Dance, a DVD for dance exercises is sent to schools for teachers and students to learn from. All exercises in Big Dance in Vietnam are choreographed by PC Crew as required by the Department of Education and Training.

In addition to Big Dance, the festival will see other interesting activities, including camping, which finds inspiration from the Olympics and Paralympics, or a play about a Vietnamese or international athlete, who won a medal in Olympics and Paralympics Games.
