If you are football nut who wants to enjoy a coffee surrounded by football memorabilia such as images of favorite players, medals, cups or club shirts, then The Coffee of Dreams cafe should be your new home ground.

When you enter the cafe the signboard ‘The Coffee of Dreams’ it is like walking through the famous gates of an English football ground. Once you are inside you pass through a miniature stadium with a small green pitch and stands erected and you pass by a string of medals from world famous clubs hung on the walls.

Entering through the glass door, guests will be amazed by a huge replica of the 2010 UEFA Champions League trophy, which was won by Inter Milan, with all previous European Cup winners from 1956 to 2010 carved into it like the real thing.

In the spacious cafe, you cannot sit still or stay silent as you marvel at all the memorabilia in front of you. In display cases there are many medals, flags, shoes, pillows, balls, plates, glasses representing the big European clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Figures of famous players and coaches are also worth a look. “I have collected the memorabilia for many years when I traveled abroad and most items were bought in the U.K. and Italy,” said Nguyen Quoc Bao, owner of the cafe.

Fans’ eyes will light up as they witness replica football shirts signed by all the big stars. Under each T-shirt there are certificates of authentic products, so guests are assured that they are looking at real autographs from their idols.

“To me, football is a dream and collecting authentic accessories from clubs in Europe is my life’s passion, that is why I named the cafe as The Coffee of Dreams,” said Bao. He added that he has installed LCD TV for guests to watch matches, as he wants to create a space filled of football ambiance. He wants guests to feel more involved when the big matches are on by looking around at the football temple he has created.

As a fan of Manchester United, he has the club badge and colors everywhere, from the decoration, paint on walls, light systems or even curtains and table covers to celebrate Sir Alex Ferguson’s Red Devils.

“Whenever big matches come on TV, many fans hold offline meetings to share their passion, enjoy coffee, talk about football, gossip about matches, as well as to pose for photos with souvenirs at the cafe,” said Quoc.

The coffee serves drinks such as smoothies, fruit juices, yoghurt, ice-creams cocktails, mocktails and a range of Vietnamese and Western cuisine priced from VND30,000.

The cafe is located at 28 Dang Dung Street in HCMC’s District 1.
