The Children’s Idea Contest 2011 ends

The final round of the “Children’s idea” contest and an award ceremony took place in Hanoi on August 20th, supported by the Honda Vietnam Company, in association with the Department of Primary Schools, under the Ministry of Education and Training.

The contest was launched in April for Vietnamese primary pupils in response to a movement to build friendly schools and active pupils.

30 paintings out of 202,605 entries from children nationwide went forward to enter the final round, and, as a result the first prizes went to the idea, “Car awaking people’s nerve” by Hoang My Quynh from Ha Tinh, and the idea, “Snail tourism cars” by Nguyen Nhat Duyen from Binh Dinh.

The second prizes went to Phan Tuan Bao and Nguyen Thi Minh Tam from Nghe An with the idea, “Light bulb from carbon released from green trees” and to Dang Mai Anh from Dong Thap with the idea, “Wave propellers generating electricity”.

The idea, “Magic twin wheelchair” by Ly anh Tuan from Hanoi and “English Tree” by Nguyen Thi Van Anh from Nghe An won the third prizes.

Besides, the organisers also presented four Honda prizes and 20 consolation prizes to outstanding contestants.
