The 5th film-making contest for students, “Education-things that need to be studied”, will start on October 8th at 2pm at the Kim Dong Culture Centre, 19 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

The contest, launched by the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Ministries of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Education and Training, for Vietnamese secondary and high schools, aims to help children build their own objectives, dreams, ambitions, and aspirations.

Accordingly, individuals or groups will make short films, of less than three minutes each, reflecting things that need to be studied.

Filmmakers, who win the first, second and the third prizes, will be invited to Japan to compete in the International Film-Making Contest for Asian Children, to take place in Minamiawajl City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, in March, 2012.
