The Vietnam Motor Cub Prix – Rebel USA Cup 2011 is based on the model of some Asian pro-racing events like Petronas Cub Prix Malaysia and Asia Road Racing Championship.

After 16 years, the Vietnam Sports Bicycle and Motorbike Association decided to allow racers to compete with the four-stroke engine Notus SI125R type. This system is expected to bring to audiences many fascinating performances by both amateur and pro racers, said Mr. Tran Minh Quy, Head of Professional Office of the Association.

Accordingly, this tournament will involve two categories, YS2S for two-stroke engine motors and N4S for the Notus SI125R.

In the YS2S event, 48 racers will be divided into amateur and pro fields. Each field includes 6 groups, the participants will compete in a direct format to pick up two top racers in each group for the next rounds. In the N4S event, the organising board will run racing competitions under the time format to choose 28 racers for the qualifying and final rounds.

Spectators will also enjoy the top super motors which turn up for the first time in Vietnam as well as interesting performances with drift, burn-out and wheelie actions of racer Wu Hei from the Chinese Shanghai Club.
