The event, part of activities to celebrate the 50 th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Sea Route, to educate Vietnamese youngsters and raise their awareness and responsibilities on protecting the nation’s sea and islands.
These 21 pieces of coral stones, symbolising Vietnam’s sovereignty over the sea and islands and the will of soldiers and people to protect the nation’s sovereignty over the seas and off-shore islands, will be displayed at the President Ho Chi Minh’s Monument in Thanh Hoa City.
On the occasion, the Province also received a tropical almond tree and planted it at President Ho Chi Minh’s monument in Thanh Hoa City and presented VND 500 million to soldiers and people in Truong Sa Archipelago.
