The ‘Thang Long-Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh Era’ art performance will be held on October 3 at the Hang Day Stadium as a highlight of activities to celebrate the capital city’s millennial anniversary.
This was announced at a press conference held on August 19 in Hanoi by the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the IMC Vietnam International Joint-stock Company.
The 120-minute programme will be arranged as an epic recounting the glorious history, undaunted spirit, and vitality of Hanoi in the era of Ho Chi Minh. It aims to inspire pride and responsibility in the young generations and call them to act for their beloved capital.
The event is scripted by writer Nguyen Khac Phuc, directed by musician Duc Trinh, and draws the participation of art troupes from the Military Arts and Culture University and the Vietnam Song, Dance and Music Theatre.
The programme will also be broadcast live on VTV1of Vietnam Television.
