Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said that the temple is a significant tribute to Uncle Ho’s clan while the Party and population are promoting the campaign to “Study and Follow Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Example.” The project commemorates the leader’s relatives who made great contributions and sacrifices for the nation and also extends the country’s gratitude to them.
He said he hopes that the spiritually, culturally and historically significant project will be completed soon to provide a suitable place for local and international visitors to honour and commemorate the great leader’s relatives.
Nghe An province currently has only a memorial house for Uncle Ho’s relatives, which needs to be upgraded. The province consulted relevant ministries, industries, scientists, and local residents, as well as Uncle Ho’s extended family, about building the new temple before it was approved by the Party Secretariat. Nghe An province co-ordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies to conduct the research and implement the project.
