The Suzuki Vietnam Co. Ltd. has held a ceremony to break ground for a new automobile factory, near its motor assembly plant, at the Long Binh Economic Park in Dong Nai Province.
The plant, costing a total of US$13million, is expected to be operational by 2013 with a capacity of 5,000 products in the first year and 10,000 in subsequent years.
The new project brings Japanese Suzuki’s investment in Suzuki Vietnam Company to US$57.9million.
Previously, in 2006, the Company built a motor factory at the Long Binh Park with a capacity of 80,000 motorbikes a year.
