The new cave, called Va Cave by local people, is located among a group of eight caves that have been unmasked by the team over the past year. Despite being only 1.7km long, the cave is said to have stalactites that are even more spectacular than those in the Son Doong Cave.
During their study, the British explorers also discovered seven more caves, reaching a total of 15 new caves discovered so far.
The Va Cave, located 400m from the Son Doong Cave, was reportedly found by a local man named Ho Khanh, who took the explorers to the site.
