The delegates representing enterprises, intellectuals, women in the armed forces and local cadres from remote areas informed the President of their experiences and role-models in the ‘Women Studying, Working Creatively and Building Happy Families’ movement, emphasising the women’s progress in all fields of social life. The delegates also expressed their hopes that the Party and State will continue creating favourable conditions that will help women, especially those in remote areas, tap into their internal strength and promote their role in administrative management, social organisations and scientific research.
Addressing the reception, President Sang praised the Vietnam Women’s Union’s achievements and the great contributions women have made to national construction and defence in the past. The President also asked the VWU, from the central to the grassroots levels, to continuously renew its operations and organisation to optimise its key role in mobilising women to take part in socio-economic development and national defence, as well as in improving their spiritual and material lives. The State leader also affirmed that the Party and State always attach great importance to protecting and developing women’s rights and resources.
