The festival attracted more than 140 entries from 25 Vietnamese and 36 international film studios and television channels. The organising board awarded six first prizes, seven runner-up prizes and eight jury prizes to the most outstanding films.
The first prizes were awarded to ‘Referee’ and ‘Wrestling’, both produced in Sweden, ‘Piedra De Luiz’ from Spain and ‘The Arieuping Festival of the Pa Ko Ethnic People,’ ‘Four Countries - One Destination’ and ‘Overcoming Destiny’ (Vuot len so phan) from Vietnam.
The festival opened on July 4, aiming to honour outstanding writers, film makers and artists and promote tourism in Vietnam through its traditional cultures, beautiful land, and friendly, active people.
