Grand Saigon Hotel (8 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1. Tel: 08.38294046)

Lunch and dinner buffets will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 6:30-9:30 p.m. on March 8. Special dishes include grilled mussels with pig fat and spring onion, Thai-style clams steamed with lemon grass, and spring rolls with a variety of sauces. Drinks such as medicinal herb tea and green tea are free.

During the buffets, customers will also enjoy eternal songs about women as well as watch the hotel’s young cooks cut and trim vegetables and tubers as artistic works that have won prizes at national gastronomic festivals.

The buffets cost an adult VND199,000 (US$9.5) and a child VND149,000 (US$7.1). A 10% discount is offered to women.

Hotel Majestic Saigon (1 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1. Tel: 08.38295517)

The Lady’s Night, a buffet and music program for women, will take place at the hotel’s Serenade Restaurant (on the seventh floor) from 6:00-9:30 p.m. While enjoying European dishes, customers see famous singers perform eternal love songs. Women are offered a free glass of fruit juice and a gift. Ticket prices are VND760,000 (US$39) for men and VND546,000 (US$28) for women. A 50% discount for children is given.

At M. Bar (on the hotel’s eighth floor), couples are given a free drink for women. Customers also enjoy songs performed by a Philippine band from 8:30-9:30 p.m.

Continental Saigon Hotel (132-134 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1. Tel: 08.38257679)

The hotel will serve a buffet with more than 35 Vietnamese and European dishes outdoors from 6:30-10:00 p.m. on March 8. Beverages are free of charge. Customers also enjoy a music show and join a lucky draw for gifts. In particular, the hotel’s chef guides customers into making its most exclusive dishes. Experts on flower arrangement instruct guests how to arrange the beautiful, impressive flower pots for decorating their homes.

The buffet costs an adult VND490,000 and a child VND390,000.

Palace Saigon Hotel (56 Nguyen Hue St., Dist. 1, HCM City. Tel: 08.38292860)

On March 8, the hotel will serve special lunch and dinner buffets with seafood as key dishes. The lunch goes from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and the dinner from 6:30-10:00 p.m. Fruit juices, coke, tea, coffee, draft beer and Australian wine are free of charge. Prices range from VND100,000 for children to VND350,000 for adults. Women taking the lunch buffet are offered a 10% discount.

Bong Sen Hotel (117 Dong Khoi St., Dist. 1, HCM City. Tel: 08.38291516)

Aside from seafood for lunch and dinner buffets, the hotel’s Buffet Ganh Restaurant serves women a special dish, grilled fish with green pepper. Diners also enjoy iced tea, sugarcane juice and wine free. Women are each given a glass of cocktail and a gift. The buffets run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. and cost VND80,000-300,000.

From March 1-8, the hotel’s Green Leaf Café serves two more drinks, Banana Daiquiry and Banana Smoothies. Customers can also enjoy a wide range of beverages made from fruits, yogurt and honey. Open hours are 7 a.m.-11 p.m.

Liberty Central Hotel (179 Le Thanh Ton St., Dist. 1, HCM City. Tel: 08.62917977)

The hotel’s Central Restaurant will host lunch and dinner buffets with European and Asian dishes on the night of March 8. At the lunch buffet, which costs adults VND199,000 (US$9.5) and children VND109,000 (US$5.2), women are offered a VND88,888 voucher for use at the restaurant. Women to the dinner buffet, which is priced at VND299,000 for adults and VND199,000 for children, are given a soft drink or mineral water and a voucher of the same value as that for women taking the lunch buffet.

Bat Dat Hotel (238 Tran Hung Dao B St., Dist. 5, HCM City. Tel: 08.38551662)

A buffet with more than 40 Vietnamese and Chinese dishes will be served at the hotel’s Bat Dat Restaurant from 6:00-9:30 p.m. on March 8. Customers can also sing songs together. The buffet, which costs VND180,000 for adults and VND120,000 for children, includes drinks and ice cream. One ticket is given for every 10 tickets bought before March 8. Women are given a free glass of cocktail.

Saigon Hotel (41 Dong Du St., Dist. 1, HCM City. Tel: 08.38224845)

The hotel’s restaurant will serve lunch and dinner buffets on March 8. The buffets, which consist of more than 40 dishes, cost VND149,000-249,000. Women are given a glass of cocktail. Those who buy 10 tickets are given one ticket.

The First Hotel (18 Hoang Viet St., Tan Binh Dist. Tel: 08.38441199)

A dinner buffet with various dishes and drinks will be served at the hotel’s Lau De Nhat Restaurant on the night of March 8. It is accompanied with light music and conjuration. Women are given a gift from Marvela, a cooking oil brand of Golden Hope Nha Be Co. The buffet price is VND500,000 for two persons.

Pho Nuong De Nhat Restaurant will host a special music show with the performance of famous singers on the night of March 8. Customers will also join a lucky draw for gifts. Women will be given gifts from Marvela and a CD-ROM on cooking lessons from the hotel’s gastronomic expert Do Quang Long.

Oscar Saigon Hotel (68A Nguyen Hue St., Dist. 1. Tel: 08.38292959)

The hotel will serve a dinner buffet with Vietnamese, Chinese and seafood hot pot dishes on the night of March 8. Drinks are free. Women are given roses. Ticket prices are VND240,000 for an adult and VND110,000 for a child.

Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Village (1147 Binh Quoi St., Binh Thanh Dist., HCM City. Tel: 08.35565891)

The tourist village will serve a buffet from 5:00-8:30 p.m. on March 8. At the buffet, with more than 70 southern region’s dishes, diners also enjoy a music and magic show. The meal costs adults VND180,000 and children VND100,000. Those who book buffet tickets are given a 10% discount.

Binh Quoi 2 Tourist Park (the end of Binh Quoi St., Binh Thanh Dist. Tel: 08.35565470)

A buffet with more than 60 dishes, including characteristic dishes from seaside areas and new grilled dishes, will be served from 5-8 p.m. The flamenco band Latin Eyes will add fun to the buffet by giving a performance from 6-8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the central restaurant also serves Vietnamese dishes. The meal costs adults VND170,000 and children VND100,000. From here, customers can also take a boat tour of Thanh Da Peninsula. Groups of customers booking the buffet enjoy a 10% discount if taking the tour.

A buffet with more than 80 grilled and seafood hot pot dishes will take place in the tourist park’s garden by the Saigon River. Drinks are ice cream, fruit juices, soft drinks and mineral water. The event goes with the performance of a Philippine band and a concert. Each customer is offered a glass of Russia’s Fifth Ocean draft beer. Ticket prices are VND250,000 for adults and VND140,000 for children.

Van Thanh Tourist Park (48/10 Dien Bien Phu St., Binh Thanh Dist., HCM City. Tel: 08.35123025)

From 5-9 p.m. on March 8, the tourist park serves a buffet with more than 50 dishes. The meal costs adults VND190,000 and children VND120,000. One ticket is given for every 10 tickets bought.

A dinner buffet will take place on the beach from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on March 8. Dishes include shrimps, crabs, fish, lamb and beef. The meal costs an adult VND359,000. A glass of Australian wine or a small bottle of mineral water is complimentary. Women are given roses.
