“12-string Guitar Concert” by two Spanish artists will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on May 16th to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Spain Diplomatic ties.
“12-string Guitar Concert” by two Spanish artists will take place at the Hanoi Opera House on May 16 th to mark the 35 th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Spain Diplomatic ties.
The event, co-organised by the Vietnam Performing Arts Centre, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Spanish Embassy in Vietnam, will entertain Vietnamese audience with energetic and funny flamenco melodies performed by two Spanish artists, López Vicente and Alfredo Lagos.
Born in 1981 in Seville, Daniel López Vicente started playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon became a famous guitarist in the country. Over the past 20 years, he won many important prizes of Hospitalet, Calasparra (Murcia), and prizes of Flamenco Clubs’ Union in Seville. He also competed in the final round of many competitions, such as Las Minas de la Uníon and Flamenco Sevilla in 2002.
Meanwhile Guitarist flamenco Alfredo Lagos was born in 1971 in Jerez, Spain, and became a famous guitarist and a composer. He is considered the best contemporary guitarist in the country.
In 2011, Daniel López Vicente worked with guitarist Alfredo Lagos to make a solo album, “12-string Guitar Concert” which was considered as the best guitar flamenco concert in 2011.
The concert will also see the presence of Vietnamese guitarist Nguyen Thanh Hang.
