More than 1,000 tonnes of fruit of different kinds are being showcased at the Southern Fruit Festival, at the Suoi Tien Tourism and Culture Park in Ho Chi Minh City on June 1st.
The ongoing event, held by the City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, aims to promote local agricultural products to domestic and foreign customers and visitors.
Many special kinds of fruits from southern provinces are being introduced to visitors; in particular, prices of these fruit are 20% to 40% lower than those on the market.
During the six-day festival, many interesting activities such as fruit demonstrations by artists, fruit cuisines, stone-art exhibition and culture performances as well as traditional games will be held.
