Song Lam cement first position, Hai Phong get out of relegation zone

At Vinh stadium, Helio opened the scoring for Song Lam with his header after 14 minutes.

Then Fagan, Trong Hoang and Hodges wasted three real chances to score in the 23rd, 36th and 44th minutes.

Nine minutes into the second half, Trong Hoang doubled the advantage before Fagan widened the gap to 3-0 in the 64th minute.

Navibank narrowed the gap to 3-1 thanks to Song Lam defender Huy Hoang’s own goal in injury time.

The victory helped Song Lam cement their first position with 45th points, six points clear of runners-up T & T (39 points from 22 matches) and Da Nang (39 points).

At Lach Tray stadium, Thiago’s brace earned Hai Phong a very important triumph over Hoa Phat Hanoi.

Thiago scored the opener for his team in the last minute of the first half.

Four minutes into the second half, Timothy Anjembe levelled the score with his super long range strike.

It was Thiago who scored the winner for Hai Phong in the 85th minute.

The win helped Hai Phong move from 13th place into 11th, getting out of the relegation zone.

At Hang Day stadium, Hanoi ACB lost 3-2 to Ninh Binh in an exciting match.

The visitors went ahead in the 15th minute when Gustavo broke through ACB’s defence to score a perfect goal.

Lucas Cantoro who returned from injury equalised in the 27th minute.

After the break, Gustavo gave Ninh Binh the lead again with his header in the 55th minute and Van Thong widened the gap to 3-1.

Two minutes later, Thanh Nguyen narrowed the gap to 3-2 but it was not enough for Hoa Phat to earn a draw.

Meanwhile, two goals in the first half by Van Nghia and Felix helped Dong Thap stun Thanh Hoa 2-0.

At Pleiku stadium, Tang Tuan’s last minute goal earned Hoang Anh Gia Lai a 1-0 win over Khanh Hoa.

At home, Da Nang easily beat bottom place Dong Tam Long An 2-0. Merlo gave Da Nang the lead after 10 minutes and Ngoc Thanh scored the second goal in the 86th minute, sealing a 2-0 win over Long An.

In an early match on Monday, defending champions T & T were held 2-2 by all-star Binh Duong in an attractive and dramatic game.
