Vietnamese military helicopters and ships have been mobilised to provide food to, and rescue, people in the flood-hit central region.
The flights started from October 5th from Dong Hoi Airport, Quang Binh Province to provide assistance for people in Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa districts in the province.
The Vietnamese Air Force managed to send five tons of instant noodles, drinking water and other necessary things to people in the heart of the floods. However, the flights were postponed yesterday due to further torrential rain.
This morning, October 7th, the flights were resumed and five more tons of instant noodles and drinking water were delivered to the people in need in the area.
Meanwhile, other helicopters are ready to be dispatched from Da Nang Airport when needed.
Together with the Air Force, soldiers in the Naval Zone C have been trying their best to save people and ships in distress in the water of Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces.
