PANO – Soldiers from Coffee Company 15, under the Military Zone 5, have carried out effective activities to help ethnic minority people in Cu Mgar to eliminate hunger and and alliviate poverty.
Colonel Nguyen Cong Doan, the deputy director of the Company, recalled over the past years, the company’s staff has gone down to the communes to encourage local people to work for the company and to provide them with the know-how to grow coffee, pepper, cashews, and rubber.
Thanks to good crops, the local people’s standard of living has been much improved The Company has also helped build communal houses for the locals to enjoy their spiritual and cultural life.
During the war, Cu Mgar used to be subjected to heavy bombardment and lethal toxic chemical spraying by U.S. military personnel.
