The Hanoitimes - Singapore has become the largest investor in Vietnam after it added an registered investment of US $ 1.1 billion in the first two month, raising its total registered capital to US $23 billion in 900 projects.
At the meeting between more than 300 Vietnamese and Singaporean businesses in Hanoi on March 18, Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải applauded the success and development of the two nations’ relationship, especially in trade and investment.
The Deputy PM stressed that the increase of Singapore’s investment capital, which doubled in 2010, reflected the confidence and effective business of Singaporean investors in Vietnam.
The outstanding successes of the two countries’ economic cooperation were referred at the meeting such as the Vietnam -Singapore industrial parks, the PSA deep water port, and many large real estate projects with investment from Singapore in Vietnam.
