Seven Vietnamese golfers are off to Australia to take part in the MercedesTrophy Asian final in August.

Huynh Viet Thuong, Do Viet Hung, Vo Ngoc Huong, Ton Duc Sau, Nguyen Duc Hai, Do Ngoc Khuong and Phan Thi Ngoc Lan saw off 96 competitors from 28 golf clubs nationwide at the Vietnamese final in Danang Golf Club, Danang City last week.

The best of the seven in Australia will represent Vietnam at the World Final in Stuttgart, Germany in September.

This year’s competition was extended to three regional finals in the North, South and Centre for the first time due to an overwhelming response with more than 5,000 golfers from 28 golf courses nationwide taking part. This year there were 50 Hole-In-One prizes for golfers, with three winners. Two of them scooped a Mercedes-Benz C200 worth VND1,327 billion, and a young golfer won the GLK worth VND1,633 billion at the Vietnam final.
