Nhan Dan - A seminar was held in Quang Nam province on June 2 to mark the 100th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh left the country to seek a way for national independence (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2011).
The seminar was organised by the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee's Department of Communication and Education.
Addressing the seminar, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Sy said that the seminar provided a deeper understanding of President Ho Chi Minh's Thought and his trip for national liberation. He also called on people to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s Thought and morality in order to to promote the revolutionary tradition as well as building the form of socialism chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people.
Delegates delivered a wide range of speeches and reports grouped under ten themes highlighting the historic significance of President Ho's journey for national salvation which changed the destiny of the nation.
The seminar also analysed the domestic and world historical context as well as President Ho’s motivation to go abroad to seek a way to liberate the nation.
