The World and Vietnam Report, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in association with EuroMoney, the leading magazine on financial business in Europe, organised the second Vietnam International Conference on Electricity.
The two-day event, opened on June 22nd in Hanoi, was the largest conference on the power sector in Vietnam as well as a prestigious international event, where policy-makers and leading experts on power production, transmission and distribution gathered to find the direction of investment and development for Vietnam power sector in the future.
The main topic of the conference was to ensure opportunities and successes in developing, funding, investing in power projects in Vietnam. In addition, there were many other topics to discuss issues, such as policy and regulations on attracting FDI in power sector, models of independent power plants in Vietnam to be accepted by banks, top-notch applications in structuring power agreements in Vietnam, and risk-reduction in the process of developing and implementing projects.
The conference was an opportunity for development, investment, consultancy, trading and consumption in power industry in the second decade of the 21st century in Vietnam.
