More than 7,400 people joined ‘Samsung Hope Relay-One Run Step, One Future’ program at Crescent Plaza in Phu My Hung, District 7 on Sunday, with almost VND1.8 billion contributed to the company’s ‘Intelligent Library’ project.
This is one social activity of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co. with its aim to encourage local people to join sporting activities, celebrate the Olympics and create better values for the community.
With each kilometer run, the organizers will donate VND50,000 to the ‘Intelligent Library’ project to support poor pupils in remote areas. Grandmaster Le Quang Liem, actress/singer Ngo Thanh Van, singer Ha Anh Tuan and writer/singer Thanh Bui led the four groups of participating runners.
From May 25 to last Saturday, www.samsung.com/vn/olympic promoted the charity run with both the online promotion and the run totaling 35,758 kilometers, equivalent to VND1.788 billion, to the ‘Intelligent Library’ project.
