(CPV) – Sacombank has won Vietnam’s Best Retail Bank for the year 2012 in the Asian Banker Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards Program.
The awards program, administered by The Asian Banker and refereed by prominent global bankers, consultants and academics, is the most prestigious of its kind.
A stringent three month-long evaluation process, based on a balanced and transparent scorecard, determined the winners and the position of the different retail banks in the region.

The Vietnamese bank has met the full criteria for value brands, financial performance, sustainability of revenues, the viability of retail strategy, sales capability, capacity, risk management processes and information technology, the abundance of products and services, capable of penetrating the market retail, human resources and development potential in the future.
Apart Sacombank from Vietnam, The Asian Banker has also presented awards to Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Australia), HSBC (China), Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong), Shinhan Bank (Korea), Public Bank (Malaysia), UBO (Singapore)…
This year, Vietnam has only Sacombank in the short-listed of the program.
The Asian Banker is the foremost provider of strategic business intelligence on the financial services industry in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. It has offices in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Dubai as well as representatives in Shanghai, London and New York.
