Defending champion Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) suffered a 4-0 home defeat to Da Nang at the Vinh Stadium on Monday in a make up match for a 14th round V-League game in mid-April.
The loss nailed SLNA to the fourth spot with 28 points from 20 matches while current leaders Hanoi T&T have 39 points and second-placed Da Nang have 38 points.
With only six rounds to go this season, it is almost impossible for SLNA to defend its title.
