(CPV) - The Run for Children Hanoi 2011 will take place on Sunday, December 4 starting at 07:00 at Thien Quang Lake.
The event is co-organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organisations (HAUFO), Embassy of Canada in Vietnam, Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CanCham), Vietnam Canada Friendship Association (VCFA), Manulife Vietnam and KAT Group.
With the participation of the mass media, government leaders, celebrities, university and high school students, public and private organisations, hospitals, and the general public, the event helps raise awareness about healthcare issues in Vietnam and provides critical funding for the treatment of children from poor families with cancer and congenital heart disease.
According to Ambassador of Canada in Vietnam, Ms Deborah Chatsis, this event will bring together friends of Canada and Vietnam to celebrate the relationship but also is an important opportunity for the two sides to help sick and disadvantaged children.
