The ensemble’s 60 musicians hailing from eight countries will play modern compositions as well as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Tchaikovsky at a concert themed, “Berliner Symphoniker Brings Peace to Asia.”

Lior Shambadal will conduct, while Vietnamese violinist Bui Cong Duy will share the stage with the orchestra.

Founded in 1967, Berliner Symphoniker has performed in countries from Brazil to Egypt to China.

In 2007, their CD “Latin Music” was nominated for Best Classical Album at the Latin Grammies.

Besides Vietnam and Germany, the instrumentalists who will play in Hanoi come from Australia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, and the United States.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. July 14 - 15 at Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street.
