Nhan Dan – The Red River Delta Literature and Arts camp opened in Thinh Long town in the northern province of Nam Dinh on April 16.

The camp attracted 23 members of literature, fine art and music associations from ten provinces and cities including Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh, Ha nam, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh and Nam Dinh.

The twelve-day camp comprises a series of programs including sightseeing and workshops. It aims to inspire members to create high quality literary and artistic works to meet the demands of today’s audiences.

This year’s camp is one of the events being held to mark the 750th anniversary of Thien Truong – Nam Dinh (1262-2012).

The annual event, launched by the National Committee of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, provides an opportunity for writers and artists from different provinces and cities in the region to meet and exchange experiences and ideas.
