VGP - Quảng Ninh should intensify the application of scientific and technological advances to fully tap potentials of sea-borne and border economy and tourism, to become an industrialized province by 2015.

According to Deputy PM Nguyễn Thiện Nhân, Quảng Ninh should focus on completing policies and mechanisms to encourage the application of technological advances in socioeconomic development, connecting science and technology with education and training.
The province should also increase investments in establishing science and technology firms, socializing science and technology activities, encouraging economic sectors, especially enterprises, to invest in renovating technologies.
It should coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology to select some products to develop their brands and geographical indications.
The Deputy PM asked Quảng Ninh to build up a strategy to develop its tourism till 2020, including the launch of wireless Internet in Hạ Long City and Hạ Long Bay and the creation of standard ships used for tourism.
