QUANG NAM – UNESCO in collaboration with Quang Nam Province authorities on Tuesday kicked off a project to promote the World Heritage sites in the central region backed by South Korea’s Asiana Airlines.

The project is aimed at creating a connection among the tourist attractions of Hue Citadel, Hoi An ancient town and My Son sanctuary – and making the trio signature destinations.

Asiana Airlines will release posters and flyers for the sites, open ticketing offices and provide tourists with guide information. The South Korean carrier will also launch information boards at historical relics and install solar street lights.

The flyers will be written in English and Korean in a bid to provide information on the central region’s places of interest for foreign tourists from around the world via 87 international flight routes.

The carrier on Tuesday started installing solar street lights at popular tourism sites in Hoi An.
