In other matches, Nakamura defeated Kramnik and Ponomariov tied with Meier.
With the results, Kramnik won the championship for the tenth time at the Dortmund tournament with 7 points, the runner-up was Le Quang Liem of Vietnam with 5.5 points, followed by Ponomariov, Giri, Nakamura and Meier, respectively.
