Nhan Dan – Quang Binh ranked first with 13 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals at the fourth National Sports Festival for disabled students that wrapped up on December 12 after six days of competition in Thai Binh province.
Dong Nai, with 11 golds, four silvers and four bronzes, and host Thai Binh, with seven golds, 15 silvers and ten bronzes, came in second, while Thai Nguyen, Da Nang and Quang Ngai shared third prize.
The biannual event attracted nearly 300 students with disabilities representing 12 teams from across the country, competing for 56 sets of medals in six events including track and field, chess, football, tug-of-war, badminton and table tennis.
The festival was also an opportunity for students with disabilities to meet, exchange experiences and improve their physical health, thereby enabling them to integrate better into the community.
