The Hanoitimes - Domestically produced goods have received a positive response from businesses, agencies and people across the country, stated Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai at a conference held in Hanoi on February 18 to review the first year of the ‘Vietnamese People Prioritise Using Vietnamese Goods’ Movement.
The nationwide movement launched by the Politburo promotes the production, distribution and competitiveness of Vietnamese businesses, said the Deputy PM. Vietnamese goods have attracted more consumers because of their clear origin, high quality and reasonable prices, he added.
The campaign also encourages patriotism, national pride, and solidarity among Vietnamese people and contributes to stabilising the macro–economy, thereby ensuring social welfare and stable growth.
Elevent solutions were proposed at the conference with the aim to step up the movement and improve its effectiveness in the future.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy PM Hai said the movement has created positive impacts on society and raised consumer's awareness of their rights. It has also helped businesses promote their internal strengths to take on the domestic market and gradually penetrate the global market. Local businesses and producers were encouraged to focus on technological and management innovations to produce higher quality products to meet the increasing demands of local consumers.
Deputy PM Hai also praised businesses for their initial achievements in the past year and the contributions of relevant agencies and units to the success of the movement.
