(VOV) - A ceremony to award the best journalistic works will take place in Hanoi on June 21 to coincide with the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolution Journalism Day.
National Press Awards presented to 48 journalistic works
This year, the organizers, the Vietnam Journalists Association, have received 1,268 entries, which reflect all aspects of the society, highlight bright examples, and protect Vietnam’s sovereignty.
Most of the entries have good quality, said Ha Minh Hue, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, at a press conference in Hanoi on June 14.
This is the second time a new mechanism has been applied to journalistic photos, but the Awards Council has received only 80 entries.
Hue added that the organizing board will revise its regulations to create a prize dedicated specifically to online journalism.
Of the 1,268 entries, 153 qualified for the final. They included 2As, 23 Bs, 39 Cs, and 31 consolation prizes.
Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) achieved 1A, 2B, and 2C, along with one consolation prize.
