Saigontourist Travel Services has provided a tour to learn more about the atmosphere and customs of local people in preparing for the traditional Tet holidays in the Cuu Long River Delta, in the North and the Central regions of Vietnam.
Nearly 1,500 tourists, mostly overseas Vietnamese, have booked this special tour, especially designed for the Year of the Dragon 2012.
Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Tra, Head of the Marketing Department of Saigontourist, said that the Company offered the tour, “Foreigners enjoy Tet holidays in Vietnam”, to help international tourists explore the Tet atmosphere in Vietnam, and provided “Close to Tet” tours as required by Vietnamese tourists, especially overseas Vietnamese.
This year, for the first time, with its “Close to Tet” tours at various landscapes across Vietnam, Saigontourist received lots of compliments.
Some 20 such a tours will be offered, departing on the 10 th of the lunar 12 th month and ending on the afternoon of the 30 th , on the eve of Tet. Accordingly, tourists will travel to floral villages, spots to make Tet products and other places typical for welcoming the traditional Tet in the North, the Central and the South regions.
Together with these special tours, the tour “Foreigners enjoy Tet holidays in Vietnam” has been booked by 500 international tourists, up by nearly 100 tourists in comparison with last year’s number.
