Petrol price up VND900 per liter

HCMC – After receiving approval from the Ministry of Finance, fuel trading firms on Wednesday increased the fuel price by VND900 for a liter of petrol and VND500 for oil.

HCMC – After receiving approval from the Ministry of Finance, fuel trading firms on Wednesday increased the fuel price by VND900 for a liter of petrol and VND500 for oil.

Speaking to the Daily, Tran Ngoc Nam, deputy general director of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), said that this new price was applicable from 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Le Thanh Man, sales director of Dong Thap Petroleum Trading Company (Petimex), said that the firm’s fuel price hike was the same and started from 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

With this new price hike, a liter of petrol A92, diesel oil and kerosene oil is sold at VND21,900, VND20,800 and VND20,650 respectively.

The fuel price adjustment this time was made 12 days after the increase of VND400 per liter on July 20.

Previously, Petrolimex and Petimex on Monday sent proposals to the Ministry of Finance seeking nod for increasing the retail fuel price by VND500 for oil and VND900 for petrol. Meanwhile, the price increase proposed by Saigon Petro was VND500 and VND1,000 respectively.
