The Hanoitimes - The first Lao Airlines flight from Pakse and Savannakhet to Da Nang International Airport landed in Vietnam on March 29 carrying 70 passengers . The flight was the first of two test runs. The second trial flight will take place on April 1. The flight will use ATR72 planes and is scheduled to operate three times each week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The opening of the route is one event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between two countries, said Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan. The air route is expected to meet the travel demands of nearly seven thousand passengers including overseas Vietnamese and tourists from northeastern Thailand. |
