Pham Tien Dung, CEO of PV Drilling said after the signing on Wednesday that the rig would serve Petronas Carigali’s 2010 drilling campaign. The contract will expire by the end of the first quarter next year, but is renewable on negotiations. The jack-up rig PV Drilling II, completed for operation in the third quarter last year, was designed by Keppel Offshore & Marine with the latest technology. It can work offshore with the operating water depth at over 120 meters.
