Of which, over VND 4 billion was spent on eye surgeries for 3,096 poor patients in Kien Giang province and in other provinces and cities such as An Giang, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang City and Central Highlands provinces.

The money was also used to support heart surgeries for 105 poor patients, give 310 wheelchairs to poor disabled people, give surgeries to poor women in remote and island areas who have contracted fatal diseases, assist the building of 131 charity houses, rural bridges and schools, and give presents to those who suffer from natural disasters and those who are poor families during festivals.
