A project to build homes for low-income people in Kien Hung resettlement, Ha Dong District has just been passed by the Hanoi People’s Committee.
Under the plan, a joint venture between Vinaconex Xuan Mai Construction and Concrete Company and Vinaconex 21 Construction Joint Stock Company will invest VND 949 billion to build five 19-floor towers to provide 1,512 apartments for local poor people.
In addition, the investors promised to erect a series of related sub-projects, including infrastructure, green parks, schools, entertainment and sports sites.
Local officials expected that the project will help low-income families settle down lives and provide opportunities for them to escape the poverty trap.
