Osaka business looks for local partners

Organized by the HCMC branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI-HCMC), this event as part of Osaka governor Toru Hashimoto’s Vietnam visit was seen as a turning point of the 15-year relationship between HCMC and Osaka.
The Japanese companies accompanying Hashimoto want to export their wares to Vietnam and also search for local partners to develop investment projects here in the country.
According to VCCI, both sides can cooperate in various fields such as auto parts and agricultural machinery, plastic products, metallurgy, industrial electronics and automation, machine-tools and robots, inspecting and measuring equipments in the industries of environment, healthcare, food processing and construction.
Osaka governor Hashimoto said Osaka was strong in technologies of environment and regenerating energy. “We’re ready to support you in the field of pollution treatment, especially the air and water environment.”
Osaka also has lots of experiences in wind power and electric cars, Hashimoto said, adding that in near future, Osaka would offer more assistance for HCMC as a sister city.
