Oracle today announced Oracle’s StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library, the lowest cost, scalable tape library on the market.
An ideal archive and data protection solution for midsize and growing businesses, the StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library scales from 30 to 300 slots and up to 900 TB of capacity, giving customers ample room to grow in a single tape library and significantly reducing service, installation and capital expenditure costs.
It offers substantial space savings and can offer 40 per cent higher density than competitive products and can be deployed and expanded at up to 75 per cent lower acquisition cost than comparable midrange solutions.
The StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library is easy-to-use and offers simple, streamlined management via an elegant, intuitive graphical user interface built on Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Linux. Users can easily view and navigate drive, library and media information without dealing with cumbersome file structure drill-downs as in other solutions.
