Eighty children born with cleft lip and palate deformities on Monday received screening and medical tests and will receive surgery this week at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in HCMC.
After the tests, they will be operated on at a scheduled time under the free operation mission provided by Operation Smile and Amway Vietnam Company Limited (Amway Vietnam) from Monday to Friday.
This is also the last mission of Operation Smile of the year. Beside the financial support, Amway Vietnam also prepared presents from Santa Claus and Snow Princess to the kids to wish them a peaceful and joyful Christmas.
From 2008-2010, Amway Vietnam contributed VND2.4 billion to fund partnered projects with Operation Smile and Hands of Hope to help 2,200 disadvantaged children throughout the country.
