The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications (DIC) proposed a fine for four online game providers for activating games on their websites without proper permission of the DIC.
Blue Sea Communication & Technology Company, FPT Online Joint Stock Company, Digital Solution Service Joint Stock Company and King Software Joint Stock Company were fined VND40 million (US$ 1,905) for releasing games on the internet without first seeking proper permission.
The Blue Sea Company supplied online gaming services like gambling and chess on their websites: http://giaitri24.vn, www.jamo.vn and www.topten. The three other companies did the same.
